Kerala Nursing Council Registration for Other State Students

How long it takes to get KNMC Certificate? and how?

You can get the notification or certificate within a month from KNMC. Seldom,  it may take around two months or less.  Once the application is submitted the certificate is created within ten days. Kerala Nursing Council Registration Validity

The KNMC has revised the process of registration for Midwives and registered nurses since June 01, 2013.
The candidate is required to present their Certificate (higher education Qualification) approved by the Kerala Nursing Council, showing thirty hours of study for one year and likewise 150 hours for five years.
Together with the updated registration certificate, all registered midwives and nurses will be given a new identity card. From January 01, 2013, the Kerala nursing council registration validity is confirmed for FIVE years. You must renew the registration within five years; else the council will cancel your registration.

NOC or No Objection Certificate is a recognized certificate issued by a college, organization, or establishment to express that the concerned department has no complaint in giving an extra degree or qualification, to a candidate who has gained an extra qualification from another institute, college or organization.
Nurses who have completed their degree or qualification from another state must get a No objection certificate from their state of origin. This certificate qualifies them to register in the second state. For instance, if you have finished your Post B.Sc Nursing from Karnataka and GNM from Kerala, you need to request for a Kerala Nursing Council NOC online. NOC  will be sent directly to the State Nursing Council in Karnataka. After getting the affirmation that the No Objection Certificate has been submitted, you can go to your preferred nursing council for registration.

Kerala Nursing Council International Verification

In order to avail the KNMC international verification certificate, you need to write an application addressing the registrar with your name, phone number, email id, your address and the address of the overseas nursing council where you wish to send the certificate.
Please enclose the following documents along with your requisition letter. If you can submit the attested copies of your certificates it would be an advantage for you.

Kerala Nursing Council Good Standing Certificate

Kerala Nursing Council Migration Certificate

If you want to study further after completing your BSC or GNM from Kerala, you must present a migration certificate at the university or institution where you wish to study. However, the migration certificate will be sent to the particular state nursing council via post by KNMC.

Kerala Nursing Council Duplicate Certificate

In the event of lost or stolen Kerala Nursing Registration Certificate, and you are required to get  a duplicate certificate of the equivalent, you must do the following:
Write an application addressing the registrar, Kerala Nurses and Midwives council indicating that your registration certificate is lost permanently and you need a duplicate certificate. Make sure you add your address and phone number. Besides, you need to produce the original newspaper advertisement that shows you have lost your registration certificate.
Furthermore, you need to submit an initial Police Report of the incident along with a sworn Court affidavit made in Rs. 200 stamp paper from a Magistrate court.
