Job Description

  • Knowledge: Excellent & up to date knowledge in patient care, clinical procedures, patient safety & patient file documentation Experience: Minimum 2 years of Experience in concerned area. Skills: Patient handling & experience skill, team work, effective communication & documentation, education & training.
QUALIFICATION • Qualified RN • Current Nursing council Registration • Educated to masters degree level in health related subject or equivalent • Post graduate level management qualification. • Evidence of continuing professional development KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE • Successful track record of senior nursing leadership at Board level within a complex acute healthcare environment. • Comprehensive knowledge of patient safety systems and processes including clinical risk and safe guarding vulnerable people. • Knowledge and credibility across wide range of infection control measures and management. • Detailed knowledge and understanding of current health & social care issue • Experience of successfully leading and managing a diverse team. • Demonstrable experience of leading and effectively managing change in large complex environments. • Experience of delivering change in service delivery /culture shift. • Able to contribute and provide credible input across the Board’s corporate agenda. • Able to make a significant contribution to Hospital cost improvement programme to reconcile affordability, safety and quality. • An understanding of healthcare planning, systems and processes and service improvement methodologies • Demonstrate significant experience in situational leadership, human resource management and people development Leadership and Management Skills • To be able to provide evidence of a leadership style that exemplifies the Hospital’s values • Demonstrate strong and credible leadership in being able to pull people together across systems and inspire and motivate them to deliver common aims and targets. • Significant influencing and negotiating skills. Ability to engage, build and sustain relationships within the trust and with external organizations • Impeccable interpersonal, communication and facilitation skills. • Strong team working skills and able to work as part of a team, in a collegiate manner. • Exhibits energy, enthusiasm and resilience to drive through change and required outcomes and improvements • Demonstrate strong commitment for action to adhere to Equality & Diversity in the Hospital workforce and for patients accessing healthcare services • Excellent organizational and time management skills. Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines
